Dr. Ty Griffiths, DMD took over Today’s Dentistry in Venice, FL after years of practicing in a very busy, high-turnover cosmetic and family dental office. Opening his own practice, Today’s Dentistry was a way to provide more direct and whole care to his patients and community, overall. For this reason, he and his entire staff maintain the highest levels of accreditation while consistently engaging in continuing education courses. It is important to stay abreast of new discoveries both in treatment and in dental technology.
For this reason, our office is modernized and up-to-date both technologically and procedurally. As a result, we are able to provide advanced dental care such as laser periodontal treatments, scaling and root planning, and custom specialty dentures, just to name a few.

Dr. Griffiths is a graduate of Nova Southeastern University Dental School. Dr. Griffiths graduated in the top 10% of his class. He is a member of the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Society, which is a membership that distinguishes themselves by excellence in scholarship, while demonstrating exemplary traits of character and skill.
Dr. Griffiths practiced in Tallahassee, FL for 6 years in a very busy Cosmetic and Family dental office. Dr. Griffiths’ vision is to offer caring, comfortable, and comprehensive dental care. At his office, he is committed to providing patients with compassionate and professional dental care of the highest standards. Dr. Griffiths has completed hundreds of hours of continuing education and clinical training for each of these procedures. He is dedicated to the newest advancements in Cosmetic and Implant Dentistry to ensure he can provide the best service for his patients.

Dr. Julie Duchock, DMD
Associate dentist
A native of Niceville, Florida, Dr. Julie Duchock is passionate about helping her patients achieve and maintain vibrant, healthy smiles. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of South Alabama before pursuing her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She and her husband, Hugo, along with their fur babies, are excited to now call Southwest Florida home.
Dr. Duchock is known for her compassionate care and dedication to providing personalized treatment in a welcoming environment. Whether it’s preventive care, restorative treatments, or enhancing smiles with cosmetic procedures, Dr. Duchock is committed to helping each patient feel confident and cared for.
Outside the office, Dr. Duchock enjoys staying active through running, indoor cycling, and occasionally playing pick-up soccer. She loves spending time outdoors, playing with her dog, Roxy, and three cats, and trying out new cooking and baking recipes. Dr. Duchock also has a passion for traveling and always welcomes new experiences, especially those involving unique foods and cultures.

Dr. Grant Hodges, D.D.S.
Dr. Grant Hodges, D.D.S., grew up in the Tampa Bay area and played baseball through the collegiate level. His experiences on the field nurtured a passion for working with his hands, problem-solving, and teamwork. As a teenager exploring career options, he was introduced to dentistry and immediately saw how those same qualities translated into the profession. He was inspired by how dentistry can transform lives and how a unified dental team can play a pivotal role in that transformation.
Dr. Hodges earned his undergraduate degree from Brigham Young University and his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from West Virginia University. He has been proud to serve patients in the Greater Tampa Bay area.
One of Dr. Hodges’ greatest professional passions is helping patients with dental anxiety. He understands how real and overwhelming that fear can be, and he finds it incredibly rewarding to help individuals feel safe and comfortable in the dental chair—often for the first time in their lives.
Dr. Hodges married his high school sweetheart, and together they are excited to raise their two children in the Venice community. Outside the office, Dr. Hodges coaches his son’s baseball team and enjoys cheering on Tampa Bay’s sports teams. Whether it’s the Rays, Lightning, or Buccaneers, there’s always a game on at the Hodges household.

Team member since 2016. Amy has been in the dental field since 2002. Attended Dental Assisting program in Port Charlotte in 2001-2002. Amy grew up here in Venice, has been happily married since 2009 and purchased their first house in North Port in 2017.

A team member since 2020. I am a dedicated Dental Assistant who finds beauty in every smile. With a
keen interest in dental implants, I am driven by the artistry of restoring not just teeth, but confidence
and self-assurance. Diving into the world of dentistry with a heart as vast as the ocean, Whether it’s
assisting during surgeries or educating patients on post-implant care, I relish being a crucial part of their
journey towards a brighter, healthier smile. Outside of the office I enjoy time with my family and dogs
on the water.

Team member since 2003. Sharon graduated from St Petersburg College with an Associates in applied science in dental hygiene. Sharon is from Florida and lived in Venice since 1965. Sharon and her husband Patrick have 2 grown children and grandchildren.
Dawn Peschel

Team member since 2010. Dawn graduated from Northhampton Community College with an associates in applied science in dental hygiene. She is originally from New Jersey. She and her husband Richard moved to North Port in 2010. They have 5 children and 9 grandchildren, a dog and cat.
Samantha Herbert

Team member since 2013. She was born and raised in Venice. Samantha graduated from State College of Florida with her dental hygiene degree in 2013. She is happily married with three children. She enjoys spending her free time with her family fishing or at Disney World.
Sally Ollerenshaw
RDH
Team member since 2024. Sally graduated from UMD hygiene school in New Jersey in 1990. Worked in the same private practice for 33 years. Relocated in 2023 to Venice with twin boys, 6 cats, and a partner in crime of 8 years “Billy.” Downtime finds Sally at home with her family, pets and listening to music, and planning her next long road trip.
